American Safety Health Institute (ASHI) Basic Life Support (BLS) Training Course

Training for healthcare providers and professional responders how to recognize a life-threatening emergency, how to provide basic life support, and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking. This class does not provide basic first-aid - is BLS CPR only (for healthcare providers).

  • Offered: One class per quarter, see registration for specific dates

BLS training course is appropriate for:

  • Nurses
  • Doctors
  • Respiratory Therapists
  • EMTs/Paramedics
  • Pharmacists
  • Chiropractors/Physical Therapists
  • Dental/Doctor's Offices
  • And many other healthcare professions

Certification:

  • Students must perform required skills competently without assistance
  • A written evaluation is required for all students
  • A 2-year certification card, issued by Oak Harbor Fire Department, will be provided at the completion of the course
  • If required or desired, you may purchase an ASHI-issued certification card for $15

Register:

  • See available class dates and register online for a Basic Life Support (BLS) class for healthcare providers
  • You will be asked to provide your name (including correct spelling), phone number, and email address
  • Class size is limited
