The Oak Harbor Police Department is actively investigating a series of malicious incidents which occurred overnight along North Oak Harbor Street from SE 3rd Ave to north city limits in Oak Harbor, WA. Police investigators have identified over a dozen victims impacted by the string of vandalism where vehicles, house and apartment windows, and mailboxes were damaged. Similar incidents occurred overnight on October 19th through the 20th in the same general vicinity and was thought to be an isolated event.
Today, police department staff will be canvassing the area for evidence and to identify additional victims. Police investigators are asking for the community’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) involved. Home and property owners are being asked to check surveillance and doorbell camera systems for video. Anyone with information which could aid in the investigation is being asked to call ICOM Dispatch using the non-emergency phone line (360)679-9567 or by calling 9-1-1.
