Island Transit and City of Oak Harbor Launch New Transit Service Connecting Marina to City Destinations
Oak Harbor, WA — January 21, 2025 – In a significant step towards enhancing accessibility and convenience for residents and visitors, Island Transit is proud to announce the launch of a new transit service connecting Oak Harbor Marina to key local destinations. This service, available now, offers free transportation for those arriving by boat, allowing passengers to easily access grocery stores, local events, and other community destinations.
The partnership between Island Transit and the City of Oak Harbor has been a long time in the making, and its introduction marks a major milestone for the community. The new service will ensure that those visiting Oak Harbor via the marina can now take advantage of public transportation to move around the town with ease.
