[ARCHIVED] Community Catch up and tour of ICOM 911 Dispatch Center

Community Catch Up (9)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Oak Harbor, WA – January 23, 2025—The City of Oak Harbor is excited to introduce Community Catch Up, a new initiative aimed at strengthening community connections. Starting January 2025, this casual, one hour event will bring together local community groups, organizations, and residents to share updates, discuss upcoming projects, and engage in casual conversations.

Community Catch Up will feature City partners, including the Oak Harbor School District, NASWI, SPIN Café, Island Transit, the Chamber of Commerce, and more. Each organization will have 15-20 minutes to present updates and highlight initiatives for the year ahead. Following the presentations, attendees will have the chance to participate in an informal Q&A session, exchange ideas, and learn more about how to stay connected with the Oak Harbor community. City officials will also be onsite to answer questions and engage in conversation with attendees.

The City created this initiative for residents to get involved, voice their thoughts, or simply catch up with the people and organizations shaping the future of our city.

The February Community Catch Up will take place on February 25 at 6:00pm at at City Hall (865 SE Barrington, Oak Harbor), and will feature a short presentation from ICOM Executive Director, Sofia Kohfield, FOLLOWED BY A TOUR OF ICOM 911 DISPATCH.

Catch up with our partners, and stay for the connection!

This event is open to all.
