The City of Oak Harbor Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for food vendors for 2026 city sponsored events.
Vendor Information Vendors will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis from those who have submitted complete paperwork.
Participation may be limited due to space availability and in conformance with local and state regulations.
All food vendors must be self-contained, no power will be available.
Fees$100 non-refundable permit fee per day.$100 refundable cleaning/damage deposit. This can be paid once and held over until the end of the event series.
Once your completed form is accepted, payment can be made by check payable to City of Oak Harbor at 51 SE Jerome St. or pay by card over the phone at 360-279-4580.

Vendors that operate in the City of Oak Harbor more than 60 days out of the year are required to obtain the Mobile Food Vendor Endorsement. Business Licenses (oakharbor.gov)

This is required for food trucks and trailers.
All food vendors are required to provide Commercial General Liability insurance with coverage at least as broad as ISO occurrence form CG 00 01, in the following minimum amounts:
- $1 Million Per Occurrence- $2 Million General Aggregate- $1 Million Products – Completed Operations Aggregate- Minimum $1 Million General Liability Insurance, including Products/Completed Operations coverage- City of Oak Harbor, 865 SE Barrington Drive, Oak Harbor, WA, 98277- City named as and Additional Insured
In accordance with federally mandated standards, the City of Oak Harbor has adopted an “Illicit Discharge” ordinance (OHMC Title 12) (12.50.02) which prohibits the discharge, pouring, or otherwise allowing anything other but rainwater to be deposited on the ground or down the storm drain. The ordinance also makes the responsible person or establishment financially liable for the cost of clean-up and/or decontamination following the illicit discharge.
If a spill should occur, vendors are required to immediately report it to the event organizer. Organizers are required to have onsite a spill response kit containing floor dry (aka kitty litter) and absorbent pads. Proper cleaning also includes scrubbing of the surface and vacuuming up all liquid which can’t be washed into the storm drain system. Additionally, the vendor will be required to hire a professional steam cleaner if deemed necessary.
