Mayor Ronnie Wright has directed the City flags at City facilities be lowered to half-staff on Thursday, February 29, through Friday, March 1, in honor of Lance Corporal Donovan Davis, a young marine, who died in the line of duty.

Community members, veterans, and active duty service members are encouraged to participate in the procession on Friday, March 1, at 9 a.m., as it travels through Oak Harbor to pay respect and show gratitude for Donovan's service to our country. You can participate by bringing a flag and spreading the word.

The City also submitted a request to the state to ask that the U.S. flags be lowered across Washington, too.
